Vanya Tree House, a part of the Green Woods Resort, located in Kumily, Thekkady, Kerala, India. Kumily is a little town surrounded by dense forests and spice laden hill slopes. Green Woods Resort is any nature lover's paradise. The Vanya Tree House takes you back to the cradle of Mother Nature. Vanya takes you back to the age gone by. Vanya Tree House is about 4 kilometers away from the Green Woods Resort. Also a 30 Minutes steep trek would be required to reach the top of the tree house. Guests can opt to trek the entire distance to 'Vanya' or use a four wheel (jeep) drive vehicle to get off where the path ends and then walk the rest of the distance (800m).
The jeep ride from the Green Woods Resort would take you to the 'MannanKudi', which is a Traditional mud hut made by the native Mannan Tribes. From here, the one km long trek to the Tree House begins. Before the trek the guests would be handed over a basic survival kit containing a pair of leech socks, a compass, a rope and a pair of binoculars. Abundant with unique Flora and Fauna this one km long trek makes you enjoy the wild like never before.
The Vanya Tree House resembles that of a nest on a tree. The Tree House consists of a Bed and a Single Reclining Traditional Chair, perfect to carter your reading hobby. The Tree House at times sways gently to the breeze.
The small balcony with two chairs gives you the spectacular view of the beautiful valley, at a distance. The drawbridge, used to enter the Tree House is withdrawn after sunset to ensure the safety of the guests. The resident butler and valet, living next to the Tree House, supply food and beverages and undertake laundry. They can be contacted on an intercom.
